I remember when I first got started in trading, it was all I could think about.
I was addicted to looking at charts all day and night. I wanted to study them, share them with others, and go deep to unlock the secrets of the markets.
Trading still occupies my mind a lot even now, but one thing I’ve discovered over all these years is this…
You need to be able to switch it off too.
Time AWAY from the markets can be just as valuable as time IN the markets.
Some of my best trading ideas have happened away from the markets – on a plane flying to a new country, sitting in a cafe eating churros or simply rollerblading along the boardwalk of my local beach.
Trading can be tough…
And it does take lots of persistence and effort…
But don’t forget to take a break.
You won’t be effective if you burn yourself out!
