I had an unexpected thing happen at a Christmas party in Kuala Lumpur this week.
Being 6’4″ tall (193cm for my metric friends), I’m usually the giant in any room.
And in Asia?
I’m basically like Godzilla walking through Tokyo.
So a few days ago I was at a fancy hotel party, towering over everyone like usual. I’m doing my best “friendly giant” routine, trying not to accidentally knock over any Christmas decorations with my head.
But then I spot something that makes my jaw drop… There’s another giant in the room.
And get this – he’s even TALLER than me!
Now, finding someone taller than me rarely happens.
Especially not in Asia.
My curiosity got the best of me.
I had to meet this mythical creature.
So I walked over, and you’ll never guess what I discovered.
The guy was the Czech Ambassador to Malaysia!
What are the odds?
In a city of millions, two Czech “giants” meet in the same room at some random hotel party.
It got me thinking about how life’s biggest opportunities often come from the most unexpected places. Just like in trading.
You might think you’ve got it all figured out with your current trading, OR…
You might feel frustrated and completely lost with trading.
Either way, this is what I’ve discovered…
Sometimes your biggest trading breakthroughs come from the places you least expect.
That’s one of the reasons I love traveling so much. Being in new places, meeting new people, and being open to new ideas have had an incredible impact on my trading.
Some of my best (and craziest) trading solutions have come during my travels.
The universe has a funny way of creating opportunities when we least expect them.
Whether it’s connecting with a fellow countryman halfway across the world, or discovering that game-changing trading improvement – the magic often happens outside our carefully planned routines.
So keep your mind open, stay curious, and remember – in trading, as in life, the best surprises often come when you’re not looking for them.
