I was standing at the bottom of the mountain, looking up.
There was a small group of snowboarders trying to make their way down the slope.
But I could tell they were all beginners.
None of them had any idea how to snowboard.
They were basically sliding down the cold, hard mountain on their frozen butts.
When I first learnt to snowboard over 20 years ago, I made the smart decision to take a couple of lessons first.
Sure, it cost me a little bit of money, but I wanted to learn the right way to snowboard, and I wanted to do it fast.

And by the end of my first lesson I was already boarding down the easy runs.
By the end of my 2nd lesson, I had enough training to navigate even some of the most difficult runs (with a bit of care).
Without those first few lessons, I could have struggled for weeks, months or even years trying to figure it out.
And I would have picked up some bad habits and poor techniques that limited my progression.
Fast forward to today…
… and I have no issues doing any runs I like. No matter how difficult they are, I know I can execute them without getting injured. Why?
Because I took the time to learn the fundamentals from an experienced guide. And then I practised them over and over again through years of experience.
And trading is the same.

Even dangerous.
And it can limit your progress.
From my experience with traders from around the world, I see many of them are not yet where they COULD or WANT to be. They underestimate the importance of learning the FUNDAMENTALS of trading.
